al-Isrā’ (The Night Journey)
ٱلْإِسْرَاء
17:34
وَلَا
تَقْرَبُوا
مَالَ
الْيَتِيمِ
إِلَّا
بِالَّتِي
هِيَ
أَحْسَنُ
حَتَّى
يَبْلُغَ
أَشُدَّهُ
وَأَوْفُوا
بِالْعَهْدِ
إِنَّ
الْعَهْدَ
كَانَ
مَسْئُولًا
wa-lā taqrabū māla l-yatīmi ʾillā bi-llatī hiya ʾaḥsanu ḥattā yablugha ʾashuddahū wa-ʾawfū bi-l-ʿahdi ʾinna l-ʿahda kāna masʾūlan
Do not get close to the property of the orphans (unless it is for a good reason) until they are mature and strong. Keep your promise; you will be questioned about it.
