فَقَالَ

الْمَلَأُ

الَّذِينَ

كَفَرُوا

مِن

قَوْمِهِ

مَا

نَرَاكَ

إِلَّا

بَشَرًا

مِّثْلَنَا

وَمَا

نَرَاكَ

اتَّبَعَكَ

إِلَّا

الَّذِينَ

هُمْ

أَرَاذِلُنَا

بَادِيَ

الرَّأْيِ

وَمَا

نَرَى

لَكُمْ

عَلَيْنَا

مِن

فَضْلٍ

بَلْ

نَظُنُّكُمْ

كَاذِبِينَ

fa-qāla l-malaʾu lladhīna kafarū min qawmihī narāka ʾillā basharan mithlanā wa-mā narāka ttabaʿaka ʾillā lladhīna hum ʾarādhilunā bādiya r-raʾyi wa-mā narā lakum ʿalaynā min faḍlin bal naẓunnukum kādhibīna

The disbelievers among his people said, "We do not believe that you are any better than the rest of us; we see that only the worthless hasty ones, the lowliest among us follow you. Thus, we do not think that you are superior to us, rather you are all liars."
