396. Narrated to us Ibn Mahboub, from Abu Yahya Kowkab Al-Dam, who has said: Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام having said that: ‘The disciples of Isa عليه السلام were his عليه السلام Shites, and that our عليه الصلاة والسلام Shites are our عليه الصلاة والسلام disciples and the disciples of Isa عليه السلام were not more obedient to him عليه السلام than our عليه الصلاة والسلام Shites are to us عليه الصلاة والسلام. But rather, Isa عليه السلام said to the disciples: “[3:52] Who will be my helpers in Allah’s way? The disciples said: We are helpers (in the way) of Allah”. So No, by Allah عز وجل, none from the Jews helped him عليه السلام nor did they fight for him عليه السلام. And our عليه الصلاة والسلام Shites, by Allah عز وجل, since Allah عز وجل Captured the Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, have never ceased to help us عليه الصلاة والسلام, and they fought for us عليه الصلاة والسلام, and they were burnt, and tortured, and displaced in the cities. May Allah عز وجل Recompense them goodly from us عليه الصلاة والسلام. And Amir-ul- Momineen عليه الصلاة والسلام has said: ‘By Allah عز وجل! Even if I عليه الصلاة والسلام were to strike the noses of those who love us عليه الصلاة والسلام with the sword, they will not hate us عليه الصلاة والسلام, and by Allah عز وجل, if I عليه الصلاة والسلام were to approach those that hate us عليه الصلاة والسلام and urge them by the wealth they will still not love us عليه الصلاة والسلام’.
