From him, from Ahmad ibn Abdus, from al-Hasan ibn Ali, from Abu Jamilah, from some of our companions, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him: (Imam عليه السلام was asked) concerning ‘a man who made a vow (nadhr) to Allah سبحانه وتعالى and did not name anything (conditions).’ Imam عليه السلام said: “He fasts six days.”
