From him, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Hammad and others, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: Imam عليه السلام said: “Poetry is not to be recited at night, and it is not to be recited in the month of Ramadan, by night or by day.” So Ismail ibn Ja’far said to Imam عليه السلام: “O my father عليه السلام, even if it is concerning us?” Imam عليه السلام said: “Even if it is concerning us.”
