Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father from Zur’ah from Sama’ah who said: I asked Imam عليه السلام about the prisoner who is taken captive by the polytheists, and the time of prayer comes, while the one who captured him prevents him from performing it. Imam عليه السلام said: “He should gesture (perform the prayer) by gesturing (ima’a)”.
