Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Yaqtin from his brother al-Husayn ibn Ali ibn Yaqtin: I asked Abu al-Hasan عليه السلام, peace be upon him: “For how old is a child prayed over (for Salat Al Mayyit), if he has reached a certain number of years and months?” Imam عليه السلام said: “The funeral prayer is performed over him in every case, unless he is miscarried before completion (birth).”
