Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub, from Abdullah ibn Ja'far, said: I wrote to Imam عليه السلام, meaning Abu Muhammad, peace be upon him, asking: “Is it permissible for a man to pray while he has with him a musk pod?” So Imam عليه السلام wrote: "There is no problem with it if it has been purified (slaughtered according to Islamic law)."
