Ali ibn Mahziyar narrated from Fadalah from Aban from Zurarah: Abu Ja'far, peace be upon him, (was asked) regarding a man who prayed the morning prayer during the night, being deceived by the moon, and then slept until the sun rose, and was informed that he had prayed during the night. Imam عليه السلام said: “He must repeat his prayer.”
