Hadith #153

وَ بِهَذَا اَلْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ اَلْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: «إِذَا وُسِّطَ اَلرَّجُلُ بِنِصْفَيْنِ صُلِّيَ عَلَى اَلَّذِي فِيهِ اَلْقَلْبُ».

Through chain of transmission, from Sahl bin Ziyad, from Abdullah bin Al-Husayn, from some companions Abu Abdullah said: “If a person is cut into two halves, the funeral prayer is performed on the part that contains the heart.”
