1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from ‘Abd al-Karim from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , about a man who performs al-Hajj for his brother or father or anyone else; what is proper for him to say? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, after assuming the state of Ihram he should say,
‘O Lord, for any fatigue, hardships, afflictions and shaken condition that I may have experienced on the way, grant reward to so and so and grant me reward for completing it on his behalf.’” Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ibn Muskan has narrated a similar Hadith.
