16. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Safwan al-Jammal who has said the following:

“Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said, ‘One who does not have the offering animal with him and he performs Mufrid al-Hajj to keep away from al-Hajj al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous), he has kept away from the religion of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious.’”
