2. Ali ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father who has said the following:

“I once asked abu Ja’far , ’Should I commence with al-Madinah or Makkah?’ He (the Imam) replied, ’Commence with Makkah and end with al-Madinah; it is more virtuous.’”
