9- حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْعَطَّارُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْخَشَّابِ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ الصَّادِقُ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ع الْإِمَامُ عَلَمٌ فِيمَا بَيْنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ بَيْنَ خَلْقِهِ فَمَنْ عَرَفَهُ كَانَ مُؤْمِناً وَ مَنْ أَنْكَرَهُ كَانَ كَافِراً.
9 - Narrated to us Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Yahya al-Attar (r.a.): Narrated to us my father from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Isa from Hasan bin Musa Khashshab from more than one person from Marwan bin Muslim that he said: As-Sadiq Ja’far bin Muhammad said:
“The Imam is a sign between Allah, the Mighty and Sublime and His creatures, thus one who recognizes him is a believer and one who denies him is an infidel.”
