Regarding the Designation of Al-qa'imحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسَى الرِّضَا ع قَالَ: لَمَّا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَتَاهُمْ آتٍ فَوَقَفَ عَلَى بَابِ الْبَيْتِ فَعَزَّاهُمْ بِهِ وَ أَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ يَسْمَعُونَ كَلَامَهُ وَ لَا يَرَوْنَهُ فَقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع هَذَا هُوَ الْخَضِرُ ع أَتَاكُمْ يُعَزِّيكُمْ بِنَبِيِّكُمْ ص.
Narrated to us Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Ishaq (r.a.): Informed us Ahmad bin Muhammad Hamadani: Narrated to us Ali bin Husain bin Ali bin Faddal from his father from Abul Hasan Ali bin Musa ar-Reza that he said: “When the Prophet (S) passed away from this world a man came and stood behind the house presenting his condolences. Ahlul Bayt heard him but could not see him. So Ali Ibne Abi Talib said: This is Khizr , who has come to give condolence for your Prophet.”
