Regarding the Designation of Al-qa'imحَدَّثَنَا أَبِي رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي غَانِمٍ الْقَزْوِينِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ فَارِسٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَنَا وَ نُوحٌ وَ أَيُّوبُ بْنُ نُوحٍ فِي طَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ فَنَزَلْنَا عَلَى وَادِي زُبَالَةَ فَجَلَسْنَا نَتَحَدَّثُ فَجَرَى ذِكْرُ مَا نَحْنُ فِيهِ وَ بُعْدُ الْأَمْرِ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ أَيُّوبُ بْنُ نُوحٍ كَتَبْتُ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ أَذْكُرُ شَيْئاً مِنْ هَذَا فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ إِذَا رُفِعَ عَلَمُكُمْ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَظْهُرِكُمْ فَتَوَقَّعُوا الْفَرَجَ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَقْدَامِكُمْ.
4 -Narrated to us my father (r.a.): Narrated to us Saad bin Abdullah: Narrated to us Muhammad bin Abdullah Ibne Abi Ghanim Qazwini: Narrated to me Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Faris that he said: “I, Nuh and Ayyub bin Nuh were on way to Mecca when we halted at the valley of Zubala. We dismounted and sat down talking. We ended up discussing our current situation and the lack of access to the Imam. Ayyub bin Nuh said, “I wrote this year, mentioning some of these things. He wrote back to me, ‘When the standard is raised from your backs, expect the relief from beneath your feet,’”
