Informed Regarding the Occurrence of the Occultationحَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالا حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الصَّيْقَلُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَ قُلْ أَ رَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ ماؤُكُمْ غَوْراً فَمَنْ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِماءٍ مَعِينٍ فَقَالَ هَذِهِ نَزَلَتْ فِي الْقَائِمِ يَقُولُ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ إِمَامُكُمْ غَائِباً عَنْكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ أَيْنَ هُوَ فَمَنْ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِإِمَامٍ ظَاهِرٍ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِأَخْبَارِ السَّمَاءِ وَ الْأَرْضِ وَ حَلَالِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ وَ حَرَامِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ عليه السلام وَ اللَّهِ مَا جَاءَ تَأْوِيلُ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ وَ لَا بُدَّ أَنْ يَجِيءَ تَأْوِيلُهَا.
Narrated to us my father and Muhammad bin Hasan - May Allah be pleased with them - they said: Narrated to us Saad bin Abdullah: Narrated to me Musa bin Umar bin Yazid Saiqal from Ali bin Asbat from Ali bin Abi Hamza from Abi Baseer from Abi Ja’far regarding the words of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime: [Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water?]
This is revealed for the Qaim. Your Imam will disappear from your view and you will not know where he is gone. When he will reappear he will give you news of the heavens and the earth and knowledge of the lawful and the prohibited of Allah. Then he said: By Allah, this verse has not yet actualized. It will indeed be actualized (in future).”
