حَدَّثَنَا غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَمَّامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ غَزْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عليه السلام عَنْ آبَائِهِ ص قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ اخْتَارَ مِنَ الْأَيَّامِ الْجُمُعَةَ وَ مِنَ الشُّهُورِ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ وَ مِنَ اللَّيَالِي لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ وَ اخْتَارَنِي عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَ اخْتَارَ مِنِّي عَلِيّاً وَ فَضَّلَهُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْأَوْصِيَاءِ وَ اخْتَارَ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُسَيْنَ وَ اخْتَارَ مِنَ الْحُسَيْنِ الْأَوْصِيَاءَ مِنْ وُلْدِهِ يَنْفُونَ عَنِ التَّنْزِيلِ تَحْرِيفَ الْغَالِينَ وَ انْتِحَالَ الْمُبْطِلِينَ وَ تَأْوِيلَ الْمُضِلِّينَ تَاسِعُهُمْ قَائِمُهُمْ وَ هُوَ ظَاهِرُهُمْ وَ هُوَ بَاطِنُهُمْ.
Narrated to us more than one of our associates: Narrated to us Abu Ali Muhammad bin Hammam: Narrated to us Abdullah bin Ja’far from Ahmad bin Hilal from Muhammad bin Abi Umair from Saeed bin Ghazwan from Abi Baseer from Abi Abdullah 
narrates from his forefathers that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Surely Allah, Mighty and Glorified be He, chose Friday from the days, the the month of Ramadan from the months, the Night of Power (Lailatul Qadr) from the nights, chose me from all the Prophets and chose Ali from me. He granted him (Ali) superiority over all the successors. From Ali He chose Hasan and Husain and from Husain , He chose the successors from his descendants. They (descendants) will dispel the distortion of the exaggerators (ghaleen) from the Quran,the plagiarism of the liars and the interpretation of the deviated ones. The ninth of them is their Qaim (a.t.f.s.) and he is their apparent and their concealed.”
