حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شَاذَانَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ حَنَشِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ الْغِفَارِيَّ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ آخِذاً بِحَلْقَةِ بَابِ الْكَعْبَةِ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ أَلَا مَنْ عَرَفَنِي فَقَدْ عَرَفَنِي وَ مَنْ لَمْ يَعْرِفْنِي فَأَنَا أَبُو ذَرٍّ جُنْدَبُ بْنُ السَّكَنِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص يَقُولُ إِنِّي خَلَّفْتُ فِيكُمُ الثَّقَلَيْنِ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَ عِتْرَتِي أَهْلَ بَيْتِي وَ إِنَّهُمَا لَنْ يَفْتَرِقَا حَتَّى يَرِدَا عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ أَلَا وَ إِنَّ مَثَلَهُمَا فِيكُمْ كَسَفِينَةِ نُوحٍ مَنْ رَكِبَ فِيهَا نَجَا وَ مَنْ تَخَلَّفَ عَنْهَا غَرِقَ.
Narrated to us Abu Muhammad Ja’far bin Nuaym bin Shazan Nishapuri: Narrated to me my uncle Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Shazan from Fadl bin Shazan: Narrated to us Ubaidullah bin Musa: Narrated to us Israel from Abi Ishaq from Hansh bin Motamar that he said: “I saw Abu Tharr Ghiffari 
catching hold of the chain of the door of the Kaaba and saying: Those who know me know me and those who don’t should know that I am Abu Tharr Jundab bin Sakan. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I leave among you two heavy (important) things: The Book of Allah and my progeny – my Ahlul Bayt – the two shall never separate from each other till they come to me at the Pool (of Kauthar). Know that they are like the Ark of Nuh. One who boarded it was saved and one who left it was drowned.”
