حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ شَعِرٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الْغَنَوِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عليه السلام هَلْ كَانَ النَّاسُ إِلَّا وَ فِيهِمْ مَنْ قَدْ أُمِرُوا بِطَاعَتِهِ مُنْذُ كَانَ نُوحٌ عليه السلام قَالَ لَمْ يَزَالُوا كَذَلِكَ وَ لَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ.
Narrated to us my father 
: Narrated to us Abdullah bin Ja’far: Narrated to us Muhammad bin Husain from Yazid bin Ishaq Sha-ar from Harun bin Hamza Ghanwi that he said: I asked Abi Abdullah : “Did it become necessary after Prophet Nuh that there should be a person among the people, to obey whom is incumbent on them?” He replied: “It is so, but most people do not believe.”
