Hadith.5354 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Hisham ibn Salim, who narrated from Abu Maryam Al-Ansari, who narrated from Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir regarding two men who together cut off the hand of another man.
Imam
said: "If the victim wishes to cut off their hands, he must first pay them the compensation for one hand, which they will then divide between themselves, and afterward, he may cut off both of their hands.
However, if he wishes, he may take the compensation for his hand from them. If he cuts off the hand of only one of them, then the one whose hand was not cut off must pay a quarter of the compensation to the one whose hand was cut off."
