Chapter on What is Obligatory When an Animal Strikes a Person with Its Front or Hind Legs
Hadith #5
"وَ قَضَى أَمِيرُ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ فِي دَابَّةٍ عَلَيْهَا رَدِيفَانِ فَقَتَلَتِ اَلدَّابَّةُ رَجُلاً أَوْ جَرَحَتْهُ فَقَضَى بِالْغَرَامَةِ بَيْنَ اَلرَّدِيفَيْنِ بِالسَّوِيَّةِ".
"And the Commander of the Faithful
عليه السلام
ruled regarding an animal carrying two riders, and the animal killed or injured a man. Imam
عليه السلام
ruled that the compensation would be equally divided between the two riders."
