Chapter on Rare Cases of Legal Punishments

Hadith #5139

5139 - وَ قَالَ اَلصَّادِقُ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ : "مَنْ ضَرَبْنَاهُ حَدّاً مِنْ حُدُودِ اَللَّهِ فَمَاتَ فَلاَ دِيَةَ لَهُ عَلَيْنَا وَ مَنْ ضَرَبْنَاهُ حَدّاً مِنْ حُدُودِ اَلنَّاسِ فَمَاتَ فَإِنَّ دِيَتَهُ عَلَيْنَا".

Hadith.5139 - Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq said: "Whoever we strike with a legal punishment (hadd) from the punishments of Allah and he dies, there is no blood money (diyyah) upon us. But whoever we strike with a legal punishment from the rights of the people and he dies, then his blood money is upon us."
