Chapter on the Legal Punishment for Theft

Hadith #31

وَ رَوَى إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: فِي رَجُلٍ سَرَقَ مِنْ بُسْتَانٍ عِذْقاً قِيمَتُهُ دِرْهَمَانِ قَالَ "يُقْطَعُ بِهِ".

Ishaq ibn Ammar narrated from Abu Abdullah regarding a man who stole a cluster of dates from an orchard worth two dirhams. Imam said: "His hand is to be cut off for that."
