Hadith #4

4713 - وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَلْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنِ اَلْعَبْدِ اَلصَّالِحِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: "اَلْعَقِيقَةُ وَاجِبَةٌ إِذَا وُلِدَ لِلرَّجُلِ وَلَدٌ فَإِنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُسَمِّيَهُ مِنْ يَوْمِهِ فَعَلَ".

Hadith.4713 - In the narration of Ali ibn Al-Hakam from Ali ibn Abi Hamzah from the Righteous Servant (Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim ), that he said: "Aqiqah is obligatory when a man is blessed with a child. If he wishes to name the child on the same day, he may do so."
