Chapter on What Suffices for the Freed Person on the Eve of Arafah Regarding the Hajj of Islam
Hadith #2
وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ مَمْلُوكٌ أُعْتِقَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ قَالَ «إِذَا أَدْرَكَ أَحَدَ اَلْمَوْقِفَيْنِ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ اَلْحَجَّ».
It was narrated from Mu'awiyah ibn Ammar, who said:
I said to Abu Abdullah
عليه السلام
: "A servant was freed on the Day of Arafah." Imam
عليه السلام
said: "If he reaches one of the two stations (Arafah or Muzdalifah), then he has caught the Hajj."
