Hadith #7
وَ سُمِّيَ اَلْحَطِيمُ حَطِيماً لِأَنَّ اَلنَّاسَ يَحْطِمُ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضاً هُنَالِكَ».
The area known as al-Hatim was named as such because people crowd and jostle each other there, "crushing" (yahtim) one another in that space.
