The Supplication of Qunoot in Witr Prayer
Hadith #7
وَ كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ اَلْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ سَيِّدُ اَلْعَابِدِينَ يَقُولُ:
«اَلْعَفْوَ اَلْعَفْوَ» ثَلاَثَمِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ فِي اَلْوَتْرِ فِي اَلسَّحَرِ.
It is narrated that Imam Ali ibn al-Hussain
عليه السلام
, the Master of Worshippers (Zain al-Abidin), used to say,
"Al-‘Afw, Al-‘Afw (Pardon, Pardon)" three hundred times during the Witr prayer at the time of Suhoor (the pre-dawn hours).
