Mu'awiya bin Ammar asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام about the position of Qunoot (supplication) in the Witr prayer. Imam عليه السلام said: "It is done before the bowing (ruku‘)." Mu'awiya then asked: "What if I forget it?" Abu Abdullah عليه السلام replied: "No (do not perform it after lifting your head from bowing)."
