Hadith.284 - Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir عليه السلام said:
"When nails are affected by Nuura (depilatory paste), they can change their appearance, such that they may resemble the nails of the deceased. Therefore, there is no harm in changing (their appearance)."
The Imams have used wasmah (a natural dye), and dyeing with yellow (or light colors) is considered the dye of faith. Dyeing dark is the dye of Islam, and dyeing with black is both Islam, faith, and light.
