The Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام said: "If I had not seen the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم wiping over the tops of his feet, I would have thought that the soles of the feet should be wiped instead of the tops”.
