`Ali b. Ahmad b. Musa al-Daqqaq narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Kufi al-Asadi narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Isma`il al-Barmaki narrated to me from Ja`far b. Ahmad al-Kufi. He said: Isma`il b. `Abd al-Khaliq narrated to us from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said:

Fasting Sha`ban and the month of Ramadan [results in] the forgiveness of Allah, even [from] the prohibited [shedding of] blood.
