As to the voluntary prayers, then they are twice the like of obligation at thirty-four units: eight units prior to Thuhr, eight units after it prior to `Asr, four units after Maghrib, two units while sitting after the final `Isha – counted as a single unit, and it is the witr for whoever did not make the witr at the end of the night – and the night salat is eight units, each being two units with a taslima, the shaf` is two units with a taslima, the witr is a single unit, and the voluntary prayer of Fajr is two units. So, the sum total of the obligatory and the voluntary prayers in the day and night is fifty-one units.
