Muhammad b. `Ali Majiluwayh narrated to us. He said: My uncle Muhammad b. Abi’l Qasim narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid from his father from Bakr b. Salih. He said: `Abdullah b. Ibrahim al-Ghifari narrated to us from `Abd al-Rahman from his uncle `Abd al-`Aziz b. `Ali from Sa`id b. al-Musayyib from Abi Sa`id al-Khudri. He said: The Messenger of Allah (s) said:

Shall I not lead you to a thing by which Allah expiates one’s sins and increases his good deeds? It was said: Of course, O Messenger of Allah. He said: Making ablution after impurity, taking frequent steps to this Mosque, and waiting for prayer after prayer. There is not one of you who leaves his house purified, prays a prayer in congregation with the Muslims, then sits and waits for the next prayer, except that the angels say: “O Allah! Forgive him. O Allah! Have mercy on him.” When you stand in prayer, then straighten your lines and establish them, and cover your private parts. When your imam says: “Allah is the Greatest (Allahu akbar)”, then say: “Allah is the Greatest.” When he bows, then bow. When he says: “Allah hears those who praise Him (sami`Allahu liman hamidah)”, then say: “O Allah! Our Lord, for You is all praise (Allahumma rabbana lakal hamd).” The best of lines is the first line of men, while the worst of lines is the last.
