Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim Natana narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father from al-Husayn b. Yazid al-Nawfali from Isma`il b. Muslim al-Sukuni from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers from `Ali . He said:

The Messenger of Allah (s) taught me that whenever I put on a new robe, I should say: “Praise be to Allah who gowned me in clothing that has beautified me among the people. O Allah! Make it a blessed garment with which I could strive for Your pleasure and build Your mosques (alhamdulillahil lathi kasani min al-riyashi ma ajmala bihi fi’n nas. Allahumma ‘ja`lha thiyaban barakatan as`a feeha bi mardatik wa a`mar fiha masajidik).” Whoever does that will not wear it except that he will be forgiven.
