My father narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us from `Abdullah b. Muhammad b. `Isa from his father from Ibn al-Mughira from al-Sukuni from Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father . He said:

Supplicate during five [situations]: (1) when reciting the Quran, (2) during the call to prayer, (3) when it rains, (4) when two rows meet [in battle] for martyrdom, and (5) when the oppressed calls out, for there is no barrier between his call and the Throne.
