Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. al-Husayn al-Sa`d Abadi narrated to us from Ahmad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Barqi from his father from `Abd al-Rahman b. Salim from al-Mufaddal from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq . He said:

If a worshiper stands before his Lord in the middle of the night, prays four units deep into a dark night, prostrates a prostration of gratitude (sujud al-shukr) after completing his prayer, then says: “Whatever Allah wills, whatever Allah wills (mashaAllah, mashaAllah)” one hundred times, Allah calls to him from above him: “O My servant! How long will you say ‘Whatever Allah wills, whatever Allah wills’?! I am your Lord, and the definite will is Mine. I have decided to fulfill your need, so ask Me for whatever you wish.”
