My father `Ali b. Ahmad narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Kufi narrated to us from Sahl b. Ziyad al-Adami from `Abd al-Athim b. `Abdullah al-Hasani from `Ali b. Muhammad b. `Ali b. Musa b. Ja`far b. Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib . He said:

When Allah spoke to Musa b. `Imran , Musa said: My God! What is the reward of one who bears witness that I am Your messenger and Your prophet, and that You have spoken to me? He said: O Musa! My angels will come to him and give him glad tidings of My Paradise. Musa said: My God! What is the reward of one who stands before You and prays? He said: O Musa! I boast about him to My angels when he is bowing, prostrating, standing, and sitting. I do not punish whoever I boast about to My angels. Musa said: My God! What is the reward of one who feeds a poor person for Your sake? He said: O Musa! I will order My caller on the Day of Resurrection to call above the heads of the creatures: "So-and-so the son of so-and-son is from those freed by Allah from the Fire." Musa said: My God! What is the reward of one who connects with his blood-relative? He said: O Musa! I will give him harmony in his life, I will waive the pangs of death from him; and the treasury of Paradise will call to him: "Come to us and enter from whichever gate you wish." Musa said: My God! What is the reward of one who abstains from harming the people and establishes noble virtues with them? He said: O Musa! On the Day of Resurrection, the Fire will call to him: "You have no way to get to me." He said: My God! What is the reward of one who remembers You with his tongue and his heart? He said: O Musa! I will shade him on the Day of Resurrection with the shade of My Throne, and I will put him under My auspices. He said: My God! What is the reward of one who relates Your wisdom privately and publicly? He said: O Musa! He will pass through the Path like lightning. He said: My God! What is the reward of one who is patient upon the harm and the insults of the people for Your sake? He said: I will assist them in the horrors of the Day of Resurrection. He said: My God! What is the reward of one whose eyes fill with tears out of humility before You? He said: O Musa! I will protect his face from the heat of the Fire, and I will protect him on the Great Day of Dismay. He said: My God! What is the reward of one who abandons betrayal out of shyness before You? He said: O Musa! He will have protection on the Day of Resurrection. He said: My God! What is the reward of one who loves those who obey You? He said: O Musa! I will prohibit him from My Fire. He said: O My God! What is the recompense of one who purposely kills a believer? He said: I will not look to him on the Day of Resurrection, nor will I dismiss his falter. He said: My God! What is the reward of one who calls a disbeliever to Islam? He said: O Musa! I will permit him to seek intercession from whomever he wishes on the Day of Resurrection. He said: My God! What is the reward of one who prays his prayers on time? He said: I will give him what he asks for, and I will permit My Paradise to him. He said: My God! What is the reward of one who completes his ablution in humility before You? He said: I will resurrect him on the Day of Resurrection with a twinkling light upon his forehead. He said: My God! What is the reward of one who fasts the month of Ramadan for You in anticipation? He said: O Musa! I will put him in a station on the Day of Resurrection in which he will not experience fear. He said: My God! What is the recompense of one who fasts the month of Ramadan for the sake of the people? He said: O Musa! His recompense is like that of he who does not fast it.
