1 - حدثنا الشيخ الجليل أبو جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن موسى ابن بابويه القمي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا علي بن الحسين بن شاذويه المؤدب (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن جعفر بن جامع الحميري، عن أبيه، قال: حدثني يعقوب بن يزيد، عن محمد بن أبي عمر، عن أبان بن عثمان، عن أبان بن تغلب، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس، قال:
لما مضى لعيسى (عليه السلام) ثلاثون سنة، بعثه الله عز وجل إلى بني إسرائيل، فلقيه إبليس (لعنه الله) على عقبة بيت المقدس، وهي عقبة أفيق (1)، فقال الله يا عيسى أنت الذي بلغ من عظم ربوبيتك أن تكونت من غير أب؟ قال عيسى (عليه السلام): بل العظمة للذي كونني، وكذلك كون آدم وحواء. قال إبليس: يا عيسى، فأنت الذي بلغ من عظم ربوبيتك أنك تكلمت في المهد صبيا؟ قال عيسى (عليه السلام): يا إبليس. بل العظمة للذي أنطقني في صغري ولو شاء لابكمني. قال إبليس: فأنت الذي بلغ من عظم ربوبيتك أنك تخلق من الطين كهيئة الطير، فتنفخ فيه فيصير طيرا؟ قال عيسى (عليه السلام): بل العظمة للذي خلقني وخلق ما سخر لي. قال إبليس: فأنت الذي بلغ من عظم ربوبيتك أنك تشقي المرضى؟ قال عيسى (عليه السلام): بل العظمة للذي بإذنه أشفيهم، وإذا شاء أمرضني. قال إبليس: فأنت الذي بلغ من عظم ربوبيتك أنك تحيي الموتى؟ قال عيسى (عليه السلام): بل العظمة للذي بإذنه أحييهم، ولا بد من أن يميت ما أحييت، ويميتني. قال إبليس: يا عيسى، فأنت الذي بلغ من عظم ربوبيتك أنك تعبر البحر فلا تبتل قدماك ولا ترسخ فيه؟ قال عيسى (عليه السلام): بل العظمة للذي ذلله لي ولو شاء أغرقني. قال إبليس: يا عيسى، فأنت الذي بلغ من عظم ربوبيتك أنه سيأتي عليك يوم تكون السماوات والارض ومن فيهن دونك، وأنت فوق ذلك كله تدبر الامر وتقسم الارزاق؟ فأعظم عيسى (عليه السلام) ذلك من قول إبليس الكافر اللعين، فقال عيسى (عليه السلام): سبحان الله ملء سماواته وأرضيه، ومداد كلماته، وزنة عرشه، ورضا نفسه. قال: فلما سمع إبليس (لعنه الله) ذلك ذهب على وجهه لا يملك من نفسه شيئا حتى وقع في اللجة الخضراء. قال ابن عباس، فخرجت امرأة من الجن تمشي على شاطئ البحر، فإذا هي بإبليس ساجدا على صخرة صماء تسيل دموعه على خدية، فقامت تنظر إليه تعجبا، ثم قالت له: ويحك يا إبليس، ما ترجو بطول السجود؟ فقال لها: أيتها المرأة الصالحة، ابنة الرجل الصالح، أرجو إذا أبر ربي عز وجل قسمه، وأدخلني نار جهنم، أن يخرجني من النار برحمته (1).
Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Musa b. Babuwayh al-Qummi 
narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Shadhuwayh al-Mu’addab narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abdullah b. Ja`far b. Jami` al-Himyari narrated to us from his father. He said: Ya`qub b. Yazid narrated to me from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Aban b. `Uthman from Aban b. Taghlub from `Ikrama from Ibn `Abbas. He said:
When `Isa reached thirty years of age, Allah sent him to the Children of Israel. So, Iblis (la) came to him at a stop of Bayt al-Maqdis, which was the stop of Afek. So, he said: O `Isa! Are you the one who – by the greatness of your lordship – was able to be created without a father? `Isa 
said: Rather, the greatness belongs to the One who created me; that is how Adam and Hawwa’ were created [as well]. Iblis said: O `Isa! Are you the one who – by the greatness of your lordship – was able to speak in the cradle as a child? `Isa said: O Iblis! Rather, the greatness belongs to the One who gave me speech in my childhood; and if He willed, He could have made me mute. Iblis said: So, are you the one who – by the greatness of your lordship – were able to create the form of a bird out of clay, blew into it, and it was able to fly? `Isa said: Rather, the greatness belongs to the One who created me and created what He subjected to me. Iblis said: So, are you the one who – by the greatness of your lordship – cure the ill? `Isa said: Rather, the greatness belongs to the One by whose permission I cured them; and if He willed, He could have made me ill. Iblis said: So, are you the one who – by the greatness of your lordship – is able to resurrect the dead? `Isa said: Rather, the greatness belongs to the One by whose permission I resurrected them; there is nothing stopping Him from causing those I resurrected to die and causing me to die. Iblis said: O `Isa! Are you the one who – by the greatness of your lordship – is able to walk on the sea without wetting your feet and without sinking in it? `Isa said: Rather, the greatness belongs to the One who overcame it for me; and if He willed, He could have drowned me. Iblis said: O `Isa! Are you the one who – by the greatness of your lordship – will rule over the heavens and the Earth one day; and you will be above all that, running the affairs and distributing sustenance [to the world]? So, `Isa became astounded at the words of Iblis, the accursed disbeliever, so `Isa said: Glorified is Allah – His glory fills His heavens and His Earth, the extension of His words, the weight of His Throne, and His contentment. He said: So, when Iblis (la) heard that, he went on his face, not possessing anything, until he fell into the green ocean. Ibn `Abbas said: A female Jinn walked on the shore of the ocean, seeing Iblis prostrating upon a solid rock, with tears flowing on his cheeks. She looked at him astonishingly, went to him and said to him: Woe to you, Iblis! What do you hope for in a long prostration? So, he said to her: O righteous woman, daughter of a righteous man: I hope that, if I am good to my Lord, and He admits me to the Fire, that He takes me out of the Fire out of His mercy.
