4. My father, may Allah grant him mercy, said: We were told by al-Himyari, from Ahmad bin Muhammed, from Uthman bin Isa, from Sama’a bin Mahran, from Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, that he said:

I asked him about a man who rejects perfume. He said: He should not reject generosity.
