1. My father and all of my scholars narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā Al-‘Aťťār, from Ḥamdān ibn Sulaymān Al-Naysābūri, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Muḥammad Al-Yamāni, from Manī’ ibn Ḥajjāj, from Yūnus, from Safwān Al-Jammāl, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) said: Those who perform Ghusl with the water of the Euphrates (River) and then go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain
become sinless like the day their mothers gave birth to them, even if they had committed major sins. It is recommended that one performs Ghusl before going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain
and not when bidding farewell (to him), but rather wipe one’s hands over the face when bidding farewell.
