Kāmil al-Ziyārāt > The Rewards and the Merits of Establishing Prayers in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.)
Hadith #6

6. Ĥukaym ibn Dāwūd ibn Ĥukaym narrated to me from Salamah ibn Khaťťāb, from Mušaddiq ibn Šadaqah, from ‘Ammār ibn Mūsā Al-Sābāťi, who said: I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Šādiq (a.s.)), “Is praying in the Mosque of the Prophet (s.a.a.w.) the same as praying anywhere else in Madǐnah?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “No. One Šalāt (prayer) in the Mosque of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) is equal to one thousand prayers elsewhere. However, praying anywhere else in Madǐnah is just like praying in any other city.”
