حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ سَعْدَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عقَالَ: مَنْ بَخِلَ بِمَعُونَهِ أَخِیهِ الْمُسْلِمِ وَ الْقِیَامِ لَهُ فِی حَاجَتِهِ ابْتُلِیَ بِمَعُونَهِ مَنْ یَأْثَمُ وَ لَا یُؤْجَرُ.
2. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan al-Saffar from al-Abbas b. Ma’ruf from Sa’dan b. Muslim from al-Hussain b. Aban from Abi Abdillah 
who said: “One who keeps away from helping a Muslim brother and helps a person whose help is prohibited, will get no reward for it.”
