وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ الْحَکَمِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ جَدِّهِ زِیَادٍ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: إِنَّ عَمَلَ الْوَسْوَسَهِ وَ أَکْثَرَ مَکَایِدِ الشَّیْطَانِ مِنْ أَکْلِ الطِّینِ فَیَضْعُفُ عَنْ قُوَّتِهِ الَّتِی کَانَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ یَأْکُلَهُ وَ ضَعُفَ عَنْ عَمَلِهِ الَّذِی کَانَ یَعْمَلُهُ حُوسِبَ عَلَی مَا بَیْنَ ضَعْفِهِ وَ قُوَّتِهِ وَ عُذِّبَ عَلَیْهِ.
2. And from the previous chain from Ali b. al-Hakam from Ismail b. Muhammad from his grandfather Ziyad from Abi Ja’far who said: “Most of the evil thoughts are due to eating mud. Surely, eating mud causes many diseases. It makes a person ill soon and the strength present before no longer remains in the body. Good deeds performed by him earlier are deducted. Deeds performed by him during his weakness and strength will be accounted for and he will be involved in chastisement.”
