أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُوسَی بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ الْبَغْدَادِیِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْحَلَبِیِّ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- إِنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا کَبائِرَ ما تُنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ نُکَفِّرْ عَنْکُمْ سَیِّئاتِکُمْ قَالَ مَنِ اجْتَنَبَ مَا أَوْعَدَ اللَّهُ عَلَیْهِ النَّارَ إِذَا کَانَ مُؤْمِناً کَفَّرَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَیِّئَاتِهِ وَ یُدْخِلُهُ مُدْخَلًا کَرِیماً وَ الْکَبَائِرُ السَّبْعُ الْمُوجِبَاتُ قَتْلُ النَّفْسِ الْحَرَامِ وَ عُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَیْنِ وَ أَکْلُ الرِّبَا وَ التَّعَرُّبُ بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَهِ وَ قَذْفُ الْمُحْصَنَهِ وَ أَکْلُ مَالِ الْیَتِیمِ وَ الْفِرَارُ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ.
1. My father
said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Musa b. Ja’far b. Wahab al-Baghdadi from al-Hassan b. Ali al-Washa from Ahmad b. Umar al-Halabi who said:
The narrator asked Imam Ja’far Sadiq the meaning of the verse ‘If you shun the great sins which you are forbidden, We will do away with your small’. Imam
replied, “One who keeps away from such sins due to which Allah throws one in Hell, Allah will forgive his sins and make him enter a good place (Paradise). There are seven greater sins, which condemn a person to Hell – killing an innocent, disobeying parents, taking interest, apostasy, accusing a virtuous woman of adultery, usurping the property of orphans and running away from Jihad.”
