أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی نَصْرٍ الْبَزَنْطِیِّ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ کَثِیرٍ النَّوَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:
إِنَّ نُوحاً رَکِبَ السَّفِینَهَ أَوَّلَ یَوْمٍ مِنْ رَجَبٍ فَأَمَرَ مَنْ مَعَهُ أَنْ یَصُومُوا ذَلِکَ الْیَوْمَ وَ قَالَ مَنْ صَامَ ذَلِکَ الْیَوْمَ تَبَاعَدَتْ عَنْهُ النَّارُ مَسِیرَهَ سَنَهٍ وَ مَنْ صَامَ سَبْعَهَ أَیَّامٍ أُغْلِقَتْ عَنْهُ أَبْوَابُ النِّیرَانِ السَّبْعَهُ وَ مَنْ صَامَ ثَمَانِیَهَ أَیَّامٍ فُتِّحَتْ لَهُ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّهِ الثَّمَانِیَهُ وَ مَنْ صَامَ خَمْسَهَ عَشَرَ یَوْماً أُعْطِیَ مَسْأَلَتَهُ وَ مَنْ زَادَ زَادَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.
1. My father 
said: it was narrated to us by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Isa from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr al-Bazanti from Aban b. Uthman from Katheer al-Nawwa’ from Abi Abdillah 
who said:
“Nuh boarded his ark on the first of Rajab and ordered his companions to fast on that day. He said that Hell goes away to a distance of one year from one who fasts on this day. One who fasts for seven days all the seven doors of Hell would be closed for him. One who fasts for eight days all eight doors of Paradise would be opened for him. One who fasts for fifteen days would have his problems solved. One who fasts for more than this Allah, the Mighty and Sublime would grant him a greater reward.
