14ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ فِي يَدِكَ هَذِهِ شَيْ‏ءٌ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ لا تَعْلَمَ هَذِهِ فَافْعَلْ قَالَ وَكَانَ عِنْدَهُ إِنْسَانٌ فَتَذَاكَرُوا الإذَاعَةَ فَقَالَ احْفَظْ لِسَانَكَ تُعَزَّ وَلا تُمَكِّنِ النَّاسَ مِنْ قِيَادِ رَقَبَتِكَ فَتَذِلَّ.


14. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from abu al-Hassan (a.s) who has said the following: “When there is something in one of your hands, if you can, do not allow the other hand to know about it.’ The narrator has said that there was a man in his presence and they discussed publicity. The Imam said, ‘Control your tongue and you will find honor and do not allow people to become in control of your neck to humiliate you.’”
