9ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا سَمِعَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَا أَنْعَمَ الله عَلَى عَبْدٍ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ فَعَرَفَهَا بِقَلْبِهِ وَحَمِدَ الله ظَاهِراً بِلِسَانِهِ فَتَمَّ كَلامُهُ حَتَّى يُؤْمَرَ لَهُ بِالْمَزِيدِ.
9. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar from two men of our people who have said the following: “We heard Abu ‘Abdillah saying, ‘If upon Allah’s granting a favor to a servant he acknowledges it in his heart, and expresses thanks to Him in public, as soon as his words are completed, an order is issued to give the servant more.’”
