3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Baghdadi from ‘Abd Allah ibn Ishaq al-Ja’fari from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah
has said, ‘This is written in the Torah: “Thank (and be grateful to) those who have done favors to you, and do favors to those who thank you; bounties will not go away if you appreciate them and they will not stay all the time if you reject them. Thankfulness increases the bounties and provides security against changes (from good to worse).””’
