4 - أَخْبَرنِي سُلَيْمان بْنِ أَحْمَدِ بْنِ أَيُّوب اللخمي فِيما كتب إِلى من أصبهان قالَ: حَدَّثَناعَبْد العَزِيز وَمَعاذَ بْنِ المُثَنّى قالا حَدَّثَنا عَبْد السَّلامُ بْنِ صالِح الهَرَوِيِّ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُوسَى الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَر عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّد عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِى عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبِيهِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْن عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ الحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِى عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن عَلِيِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: الإِيمان مَعرِفَةٌ بِالقَلبِ وَإِقْرارٌ بِاللِّسانِ وَعَمَلٌ بِالأَركانِ.
22-4 In what Soleiman ibn Ahmad ibn Ayyoub al-Lakhmi wrote to me from Isfahan, he narrated that Ali ibn Abdul Aziz and Ma’az ibn al-Muthanna quoted on the authority of Abdul Salam ibn Salih al-Harawi, on the authority of Ali ibn Musa Al-Ridha (s), on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far (s), on the authority of his father Ja’far ibn Muhammad (s), on the authority of his father Muhammad ibn Ali (s), on the authority of Ali ibn Al-Hussein (s), on the authority of his father Al-Hussein ibn Ali (s), on the authority of his father Ali ibn Abi Talib (s) that God’s Prophet (s) said, “Faith is recognition by the heart, expression by the tongue and enacting by the body parts.”
